The Street Department's primary function is the maintenance of the streets of the City. The drainage system is maintained by removing debris obstructing the flow of storm water. Daily inspections are made for pavement management and visible obstructions. Special projects are on a scheduled basis. The Street Department works with other crews in preparing for City special events.
The Sign Department is responsible for maintaining and repairing all street and traffic signs within the city limits, striping parking lots, handicapped spaces, and assisting the Street Department with special projects.
The Street and Sign Departments are located at the public works building located at 1916 St. Joseph Street. Hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
